Every refurbished Dell Laptop, Dell Desktop and Dell Workstation sold on DFSdirectSales.com has been thoroughly evaluated and tested in a Dell manufacturing facility. This includes an extensive functional test to ensure systems meet factory specifications and a thorough cleaning and wipe down. Refurbished systems may have some minor cosmetic imperfections, but they will not affect the performance of the system. What is covered by this limited warranty? This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in the hardware products sold by DFS on a part-by-part basis. What is not covered by this limited warranty? OUR LIABILITY WILL BE NO MORE THAN THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF A CLAIM. THIS IS THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT FOR WHICH WE ARE RESPONSIBLE SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. How long does this limited warranty last? This limited warranty lasts for 100 days and begins on the date of purchase indicated on your invoice. The warranty period is not extended if we replace a warranted product or any part(s). DFS may change the availability of limited warranties, at its discretion, but any changes will not be retroactive. After this 100 day period, DFS DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. What do I do if I need warranty service? Before the limited warranty expires, please call us at the number listed below. Please have your Dell Service Tag or order number available when you call.
If you call us with a technical issue at any time during the 100 day warranty period, we will first determine if the problem is covered under the limited warranty. If not, we will notify you of this determination. If the problem is covered under this limited warranty, we will attempt to diagnose and fix the problem over the phone. If a replacement part is necessary to fix the problem, we will ship you, at our cost, a refurbished replacement part. If the part is out of stock, we will either back order the part or issue you a credit for the refurbished market value of the defective part as determined by DFS. Such credit will fulfill our obligations under the limited warranty for the defective part. We will not ship to an address outside of the United StatesWe will assist you in replacing the defective part with the replacement part over the phone if you call Customer Service. Once the replacement part is installed and your system is working properly, we may require you to send the defective part to us. During the first 30 days of ownership: In addition to the parts replacement process described above, you may also return the product for a refund during the first 30 days from the invoice date (excluding shipping and handling charges). Prior to any return, however, you must call customer service and request a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. If you do not call customer service, your return may be rejected. You must return the entire system to us in its original or equivalent packaging, prepay shipping charges, and insure the shipment or accept the risk if the product is lost or damaged in shipment. See Important additional terms and conditions Here. NOTE: Before you ship the product(s) to us, make sure to back up the data on the hard drive(s) and any other storage device(s) in the product(s). Remove any confidential, proprietary, or personal information and removable media such as floppy disks, CDs, or PC Cards. We are not responsible for any of your confidential, proprietary, or personal information; lost or corrupted data; or damaged or lost removable media. We use refurbished parts made by various manufacturers in performing under this warranty. All parts and systems are inspected and tested for quality. Replacement parts and systems are covered for the remaining period of the limited warranty for the product you bought. DFS owns all parts returned to DFS. May I transfer the limited warranty? DFS's limited warranty may not be transferred.Some products offered by DFS may be covered by a warranty provided in writing by the manufacturer when the products were originally sold. To the extent assignable, DFS assigns to Customer any such remaining warranty provided by the manufacturer. DFS does not warrant any software under this Agreement. Warranties, if any, for the software are contained in the license agreement that governs its purchase and use. |
